People often ask Susan how she does it all. She often finds herself thinking, what a strange question. Her take on life has driven her in various directions, from running with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain, to finishing the Los Angeles marathon three times, to starting The Herb Box nearly 10 years ago. For Susan, it’s about crossing the finish line. Susan Claire Smederovac-Wilcox is a native Phoenician. With a passion for entertaining, inspired by her mother’s knack for hosting the perfect dinner party, and a strong desire for success, catering was a natural fit. After attending Northern Arizona University, Susan moved to and started her first company in Los Angeles in 1991 representing local artists. Planning private showings and producing large-scale events were among a few of the skills she perfected. She continued her passion for event planning at Pier View Café in Malibu, planning private functions for a range of high profile clientele. It was in Malibu where she was trained in the art of customer service, discretion and style. Susan her husband Ty and their children Emerson, Grayson, Jaxon and Hudson currently hang there hats in sunny Scottsdale. |
